CLAIRE HORNER - SA Triathlete

The Anchor Challenge is a unique event in South Africa. There are plenty of multi-sport endurance events, but nothing quite like what the Anchor Challenge is going to be. On the 11th December 2010 we will stage a 4-discipline event with each discipline having a start and a finish, instead of the usual transition multi-sport athletes are used to. This will bring in an entirely new dimension of racing that will enable athletes to race harder and faster in each discipline. The event will run over the course of the day starting with the mountain bike in the early morning and finishing with the beach run in the afternoon. Just like the famous multi-day stage race, the Tour de France, the leader will wear a “yellow number” which is sure to be extremely captivating for all our viewers both on the day and those watching the post televised event.
